Art Deco Sculpted Wall Plaque.

This stunning plaque is based on larger original works designed by Walter Gilbert in 1933 and manufactured by the Bromsgrove Guild for use above the elevator doors in the Derry & Tom's department store (later Biba).

The panel depicts a highly stylised forest scene of gamboling deer, a popular subject in the late 20’s, early 30’s. This plaque is very substantial made from a resin stone like material including crushed Portland Stone with excellent relief detailing.
